Notes for Sun in Libra
When the Sun enters Libra, day and night have reached a balance – its’ the time of Autumnal Equinox. Libra signifies this balance through the quest for beauty, love, and harmony in relationships. The latter really is a matter of right behavior.
Some people simply don’t behave well because they lack the proper education. But the intellectually sophisticated don’t know how to behave either. Their over-active minds tend to misinterpret others’ motives and conduct. Instead of feeling with others by way of empathy, they engage in criticism and gossip. And those who are emotionally swayed often also misconstrue the reasons for other people’s actions and behavior. Without wisdom and detachment too much feeling clouds right judgment.
Libra likes to create an atmosphere of poise and aesthetics. Nevertheless, these qualities have no meaning without truth. It is better to be sincere than evasive, but being silent beats offering unsolicited advice. Libra can go to extreme even of adopting an attitude of “This is what you need whether you know it or not”. On the other hand beware also of the over-loyal, spineless person who seems to have given up his or her own will to decide freely.
Libra gives us an opportunity to walk the tightrope between too much “me” and too much “you”. It prompts us to use moderation and to stay balanced. Through introspection and by holding our own counsel, we develop Intuitive understanding. These same qualities are reflected back to us by way of vibrational resonance. Thus, Libra reaches its highest goal: harmony in relationships.
