Excerpts from the Introduction
Fast-paced lifestyles by their very nature increase stress. Now more than ever it is essential to balance this stress with health-building activities. Some of these are exercise, relaxation, cultivating love and compassion in relationships with others and just as importantly also with ourselves. Embracing such qualities protects us like a mother who lifts her small child onto her lap.
The female breasts represent nurturing and caring. Their curves are comforting. Their delicate softness invites the warmth of a giving touch. In Western societies, however, the breasts have become a “taboo” of tremendous power and expectation. Their shape and size is supposed to fit a predetermined mold of artificial beauty. This mold is glorified as a sex object and exploited for money. While the fashion industry dictates the look, medical statistics show alarming numbers of fast-growing cancers. As part of our body, breasts have become subject to other people’s values, concerns and agendas. Some of them are more serious than others, but all of them are impacting on the female psyche with unhealthy pressure.
When you remember to be gentle, kind, and caring with your own naturally beautiful breasts, you can overcome low self-esteem and fear of disease. Your breasts are directly linked with the life giving power of your body. Therefore they are yours by birthright.
This manual lets you practice in the privacy of your own home. All you need is your body. Once you know how to do it, it is simple and relaxing. Since this massage takes 10 minutes or less to complete, it is easily added to even the busiest schedule. A felt sense of wellness and buildup of healthy breast tissue are gained over months and years of practice.
The beauty of the healthy breast system lies in its combination of physical and physiological aspects with increasing and cultivating the flow of life energy in the body. Of course practicing the healthy breast massage without affirmations, sounds or spiritual focus still will yield many benefits. The manual is structured to describe holistic concepts and benefits separately from physical and physiological ones. The last two chapters are an added bonus. They show how to recognize, treat and release dysfunctional patterns.
